Code of Conduct.

This Code of Conduct applies to everyone inside I Write Mines: members, students of IWM University, applicants, hired faculty, guardians of young writers, guests in the Writers Room, and admin staff.

It applies in every shared space — classrooms, live sessions, the Writers Room, direct messages, creator profiles, comments, stories and any file you upload for review.

Bring your own work. Passing off another person's writing, lyrics, script or recording as your own is the fastest way to lose your seat.

Coach, do not ghostwrite. Our AI coaches and never writes prose for you, and we ask the same of people in class: critique, question and challenge, but leave the writing to the writer.

Treat each other like professionals. No harassment, slurs, threats, sexual content directed at anyone, doxxing, or targeting a person for who they are.

Protect minors. Adults never contact a young writer privately. Youth seats are guardian-consented and monitored, and any adult who tries to move a minor off-platform is removed permanently.

Keep the room private. Do not record, screenshot or republish another member's unpublished work, session audio or personal details without written permission.

No unlawful activity, fraud, payment abuse, chargeback abuse or attempts to defeat the platform's access controls, rate limits or verification steps.

No spam, bulk solicitation, multi-level marketing, or using classrooms and profiles to farm contacts.

No uploading material you do not have the rights to, including copyrighted instrumentals, samples or scripts you did not write or license.

No impersonating staff, faculty, the founder, or any brand — including creating handles or profiles designed to be mistaken for them.

Faculty are hired by the dean, not self-appointed. A teaching appointment is a role of trust and can be suspended at any time.

Faculty must keep student work confidential, may not solicit private business from students inside a classroom, and must report any safeguarding concern involving a young writer to admin the same day.

Background attestation and identity confirmation are conditions of appointment. A withdrawn attestation ends the appointment.

Report a problem from the report control on any profile, post or story, or write to support@iwritemines.com. Safeguarding reports involving a minor go to alander@iwritemines.com and are reviewed first.

A human reviews every report. Depending on severity we may warn, remove content, mute, revoke a classroom seat, suspend a faculty appointment, close an account or refer a matter to law enforcement.

Decisions are made by people, not by an automated system. You can appeal any decision by replying to the notice you receive; a different reviewer looks at appeals where possible.

We update this Code as the community grows. Material changes are announced in-app and by email to active members and faculty before they take effect.
