Seller: I Write Mines LLC, Georgia, United States

Contact: support@iwritemines.com

Merchant of Record: Paddle.com Market Limited

Effective: 3 August 2026 · Version 2.0

1. Who You Are Contracting With

I Write Mines is a service operated by I Write Mines LLC, a limited liability company organised under the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, trading as "I Write Mines" and founded by Alander Pulliam. In these documents "we", "us", "our" and "the Company" mean I Write Mines LLC, and "you" means the individual or organisation using the Service. When you use the Service or buy a plan, you are contracting with I Write Mines LLC.

Definitions. "Service" means the I Write Mines website at iwritemines.com and www.iwritemines.com, its subdomains, applications, tools, lessons, exports, coaching features and supporting infrastructure. "Your Content" means anything you create, type, upload, record or import into the Service, including manuscripts, lyrics, outlines, scripts, notes, instrumentals and audio. "AI Output" means feedback, questions, diagnostics, grades, briefs, storyboards, narration and artwork returned by the Service's automated features. "Plan" means the free Beta tier or a paid Pro or Premium subscription. "Paddle" means Paddle.com Market Limited and its affiliates.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

These documents together — Terms of Use, Ownership & License, AI Disclosure, Privacy Policy, Cookie Notice, Copyright & DMCA Policy, Acceptable Use, Payments & Refunds and the General Provisions — form the entire agreement between you and I Write Mines LLC regarding the Service, and supersede any prior understanding on the same subject. Where these terms conflict with the Paddle Buyer Terms on a payment matter, the Paddle Buyer Terms govern that payment matter.

Notices to us must be sent to support@iwritemines.com. Notices to you will be sent to the email address on your account or posted inside the Service, and are treated as received on the day sent.

5. Privacy Policy

5.1 Controller. I Write Mines LLC (Georgia, United States) is the data controller for personal data processed through the Service and decides why and how that data is used. Contact us at support@iwritemines.com. This notice applies to the Service and not to any third-party site we link to.

5.2 What we collect. Account data (email address, display and artist name, account number, profile fields your sign-in provider returns, optional phone number for SMS codes). Content data (projects, drafts, notes, uploads and grading reports, if you choose to sync them). Usage data (lesson progress, placement result, feature usage, streaks). Support data (tickets, feedback, recovery answers). Technical data (browser and device type, IP address, timestamps, error and security logs). Communications data (email and SMS delivery status).

5.3 What we do not collect. Payment card numbers and billing addresses — those go directly to Paddle and are never stored by us — and special-category data such as health, biometric, religious or political information. Please do not enter sensitive personal information about yourself or others into the writing tools.

5.4 Sources. We collect data directly from you, automatically from your use of the Service, and from your sign-in provider when you choose social sign-in.

5.5 Local-first storage. By default your projects, placement result, theme preference and lesson progress are stored in your own browser. Cloud sync is opt-in and only runs when you sign in and trigger it.

5.6 Purposes and legal bases. To create and operate your account, save and restore your work, and deliver your Plan — performance of our contract with you. To keep the platform secure, detect fraud and abuse, debug faults, and improve the product in aggregate — our legitimate interests, balanced against your rights. To send marketing email, verification SMS or optional notifications — your consent, withdrawable at any time. To meet tax, accounting and legal obligations — legal obligation.

5.7 Automated processing. Grading, placement and coaching features analyse your content automatically to return feedback. Fraud and abuse signals may flag an account for human review. We do not make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you without a route to human review, which you can request at support@iwritemines.com.

5.8 Sharing — categories of recipients. (a) Infrastructure providers required to run the Service (hosting, database, authentication, storage). (b) AI model providers described in section 4, for the content you submit to an AI tool. (c) Paddle.com Market Limited, our reseller and Merchant of Record, which acts as an independent controller for the sale of our products and processes your name, email, billing address, payment details and transaction history to take payment, manage subscriptions, calculate and remit tax, issue invoices and handle refunds and billing support — see paddle.com/legal/buyer-privacy. (d) Communications providers for transactional email and SMS delivery. (e) Professional advisers such as lawyers and accountants, under confidentiality. (f) Authorities, where required by law or to protect rights and safety. (g) An acquirer, in the event of a merger, acquisition or asset sale, subject to this notice. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

5.9 International transfers. Our providers, including Paddle, may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where data leaves the UK or EEA it is transferred under appropriate safeguards such as the UK Addendum, Standard Contractual Clauses, or an adequacy decision. You can ask us for a summary of the safeguards in place.

5.10 Your rights. You can request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of your personal data. If you are in the EEA or UK you also have rights to object, to restrict processing, to data portability, to withdraw consent without affecting prior processing, and to complain to your supervisory authority under the GDPR. If you are in California you have rights of access, deletion, correction, portability and to know under the CCPA/CPRA, and a right against discrimination for exercising them — we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined there. Residents of other US states with comparable laws have equivalent rights. To exercise any right, email support@iwritemines.com from the address on your account; we verify identity before acting and respond within 30 days, or 45 days where the law permits an extension. You may use an authorised agent where the law allows.

5.11 Security. We use appropriate technical and organisational measures including encryption in transit, hashed credentials, access controls on our database, row-level security scoping records to your account, audit logging of administrative actions, and optional two-factor and SMS verification. No system is perfectly secure; we do not guarantee absolute security, and you should keep your own copies of important work.

5.12 Breach. If a personal data breach is likely to result in a risk to your rights, we will notify the relevant supervisory authority and, where required, affected users without undue delay.

5.13 Retention. Synced projects and account data are kept until you delete them or close your account. Support tickets and moderation records are kept up to 24 months. Security, sign-in and error logs are kept for a limited operational period, generally up to 12 months. Order and tax records held by Paddle are retained by Paddle under its own policy and applicable tax law. After those periods data is deleted or anonymised.

5.14 Children. The Service is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child under 13 has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.

5.15 Do Not Track. Browsers send Do Not Track signals inconsistently and there is no common standard; because we do not run cross-site tracking or advertising, our behaviour does not change based on that signal. We honour recognised opt-out preference signals where the law requires.

6. Cookies & Local Storage

6.1 Strictly necessary. If you sign in, an authentication cookie or token is stored so your session persists. Security and anti-abuse cookies protect the sign-in flow. These cannot be turned off without breaking the Service, and they rely on our legitimate interest in delivering a functioning, secure site.

6.2 Functional local storage. We use your browser's local storage to hold drafts, placement result, chosen theme and typography, onboarding state and lesson playback position. This is what makes the Service work offline-first. It is stored on your device, not read for advertising, and cleared when you clear site data.

6.3 What we do not use. We do not run third-party advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, data brokers, or ad-network retargeting.

6.4 Managing it. You can clear cookies and site data in your browser settings at any time. Clearing storage will remove unsynced local drafts — sync first if you want to keep them. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent sign-in.

15. Email, Text & Confidentiality

15.1 Transactional messages. Account and security email — sign-in alerts, verification, password resets, one-time codes, invitations, receipts and account notices — is transactional and is sent to the address on your account so we can operate and protect the Service. You cannot opt out of transactional security email while your account is open.

15.2 Confidentiality notice. Every message we send carries a confidentiality notice: it is intended only for the named recipient and may contain confidential or privileged information. If you receive one in error, delete it and notify support@iwritemines.com. Review, copying, forwarding or use by anyone other than the intended recipient is not authorised.

15.3 What we never do. We do not sell your personal information and we never include your drafts, lyrics, manuscripts or scripts in marketing. We will never ask for your password, one-time code or account-recovery answers by email, text or phone. Treat any message that does as a phishing attempt and report it to us.

15.4 SMS. SMS verification and updates are optional and opt-in. Message frequency varies, message and data rates may apply, and some carriers may incur charges. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. You can turn SMS off at any time in your portal security panel.

15.5 Marketing. Marketing and newsletter email is separate, opt-in, and every message includes a one-click unsubscribe. Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional security email.

4. AI Disclosure

4.1 Coaching, not ghostwriting. I Write Mines uses artificial intelligence to coach, analyse, question, diagnose and grade. By design it does not write your book, your lyrics, your script or your plan for you. Every tool is built to return direction, structure, questions and craft observations — not finished prose you can paste in as your own.

4.2 How the tools behave. The Revision Lab demonstrates editing moves on sentences you already wrote. The Beat Studio reads an instrumental's tone, tempo and pocket and returns angles and section jobs. Mr AP and the Tutor ask questions and push back. Graders score against published rubrics. None of these produce original creative text on your behalf.

4.3 Accuracy. AI Output can be wrong, incomplete, outdated, biased or generic. Grades and scores are directional teaching signals, not objective measures of quality or of commercial prospects. Treat all AI Output as a second opinion from a collaborator, not as fact, and not as legal, financial, medical or other professional advice. Verify anything that matters before you act on it.

4.4 Third-party model providers. AI features are powered by third-party model providers. Content you submit to an AI tool is transmitted to those providers to generate a response and is processed under their security terms. Do not paste confidential material, trade secrets, personal data about other people, or anything under a non-disclosure obligation.

4.5 Generated media. Where you ask the Service to generate narration, cover artwork, storyboards or concept video, that media is produced by automated systems on your instruction and may reflect the limits and biases of those systems. You are responsible for reviewing generated media before you publish it, for confirming it does not depict a real identifiable person without consent, and for confirming it does not infringe third-party rights.

4.6 Prohibited AI uses. You must not use the AI features to generate unlawful content, to impersonate a real person, to produce deepfakes or synthetic voice of anyone without their written consent, to create sexual content involving minors, to generate harassment or hate material, or to jailbreak, prompt-inject or otherwise circumvent the coaching-only design.

4.7 Moderation. We may filter, refuse, limit or remove AI requests and outputs, and may suspend accounts that repeatedly attempt prohibited uses.
